Precision-machined steel watch cases protecting internal movements in industrial timing devices, gauges, and portable instruments. Manufactured from stainless or carbon steel with ingress protection up to IP6K9K. Designed for harsh environments including washdown, chemical exposure, and high-vibration zones. (74 words)
A steel watch case is a protective housing for timing or measurement instruments used in industrial, lab, or field settings. Unlike decorative consumer watch cases, industrial steel watch cases prioritize sealing integrity, impact resistance, and environmental protection. They feature threaded crowns, gasket grooves, and crystal retention systems. Common configurations include round, square, or panel-mount profiles. Cases are rated for dust/water ingress per IEC 60529 and tested for corrosion resistance in alkaline, salt, and humidity conditions. Many include integrated brackets for DIN rail or bulkhead mounting.

Customer: A European food processing line builder with 220 washdown stations.
Problem: Standard instrument cases failed every 8–10 months due to pitting corrosion from daily alkaline sanitizer sprays (pH 11.5, 80°C). Each failure caused 4 hours of unplanned downtime.
Solution: Switched to our 316L stainless steel watch cases with electropolished finish and FKM gaskets.
Result (24 months): Zero case failures. Salt spray testing validated 1,000+ hours per ASTM B117 without red rust. Customer reduced spare inventory by 70% and eliminated washdown-related downtime. Annual savings: €18,600.
